Wooden bread basket (for rising shaped artisan loaves) by Pingo Gear
I love these baskets and I use them often to shape crusty ethnic breads. Although I have baskets in all sizes and shapes, this is the 9-inch one I use most often to rise my medium-sized shaped boules. Flour is liberally and evenly rubbed into the interior of the basket (or onto the cloth) and the raw, shaped dough rises inside, bottom-side-up. After use, don't wash the interiors, just bang out any excess flour. Before each use, bang again and use a pastry brush to remove any dried, caked on flour as you can-then, before inserting bread dough, reapply fresh flour.
