Thermometer (for meat, instant) by Thermopro
Although some cooks swear by this tool, the thought of continually poking holes in my roast during cooking to check the internal temperature really bothers me. However, this thermometer is helpful to quickly gauge the temperature of a finished loaf of bread (190F to 210F) or stuffing that's baking inside poultry since it must reach 160oF before being consumed. It's also good to check meat during the smoking process. Purchase one with a skinny stem that registers from 100o F to 200o F.
