Strawberry huller by Chef'n
is new to me and it looks like it will work better than the one I have which resembles an oversized tweezer. Both types are used to remove the white, firm and tasteless hull (core) from a fresh strawberry. You only really need a small paring knife to do this, especially when strawberries are at their peak, which is when their hull is very small. Using a tool like this could, if not careful, remove too much of the prized fruit.
