Pie weights by Mrs. Anderson Baking
Commercial weights are used to weigh down pie dough when pre-baking. Dried beans can be added to these (or used as a substitute) and reused for this purpose; do not eat beans after using them for weights and since, after a while, they become hollow (thus less effective as weights), the beans will need to be occasionally replaced. I keep a quart-size jar of weights.
