Meat tenderizer by OXO
This tenderizer is hammer-like, with a textured surface and is used to repeatedly hit a tough cut of thinly sliced raw meat in order to break down any connective tissue and render it tender. This particular one has two sides with different textures-one is smooth, to be used as a mallet and, the other, textured, for tenderizing. I prefer to have two separate tools for these purposes.
