Yes, in a perfect world, someone would be making me matzo ball soup, since I have a lousy cold and cough- But, you know, it’s times like this when I get to affirm that I care about myself, too- and not just about everyone else. Is it more difficult to cook when feeling this way? Yes. That’s why I deliberately prepare for these times by having lots of chicken stock in my freezer- and there are also several loaves of frozen crusty sourdough bread-just waiting for me to thaw and give a good blast of dry heat- And, since Passover is almost here, I figured I would make enough matzo balls and soup to have ready (in the freezer). See, cooking and baking is a way of life- everything I do helps me do something else. So, even when feeling lousy and needy, I still can live and love well. So can you
